Frequently asked questions

Direct, useful answers about how Blue Ripple works — what we do, where we work, and how to get started.

What is included in weekly pool service?+
Each weekly visit includes skimming the surface, brushing the walls and tile line, vacuuming as needed, emptying skimmer and pump baskets, testing and balancing water chemistry, and a quick visual check of equipment. After every visit you receive a service report with photos so you know exactly what was done.
Do you handle green pools or neglected pools?+
Yes. Green-to-clean recovery is one of our specialties. We assess the pool, shock and rebalance the water, run the filter on a recovery schedule, and follow up until the pool is swim-ready. We will tell you up front what to expect on cost and timeline.
Do you provide service reports?+
Yes. After each visit you get a digital service report with photos, water test readings, and any notes about equipment or water quality. This is one of the main reasons homeowners switch to Blue Ripple — you stop wondering whether your pool was actually serviced.
Do you handle filter cleaning and equipment checks?+
Yes. Filter cleanings are scheduled on a recommended cadence based on your pool and usage. We also do routine equipment checks during weekly service, and we handle pump, filter, plumbing, and common equipment repairs in-house.
Do you service hot tubs and spas?+
Yes. Blue Ripple can help with hot tub and spa water care, cleaning, filter guidance, sanitizer checks, and visible equipment monitoring. Attached spas can be handled as part of pool service, and standalone hot tubs can be reviewed for the right service cadence.
When do you use vacuum-to-waste cleanup?+
Vacuum-to-waste is used when heavy dirt, dead algae, or sediment should be removed from the pool instead of pushed through the filter. It is common after storms, green-to-clean recovery, heavy dust, landscaping debris, or neglected pool conditions.
Where do you provide pool service?+
Our core service areas are Simi Valley, Moorpark, Thousand Oaks, and Westlake Village. We also currently serve nearby parts of the west San Fernando Valley including Calabasas, Woodland Hills, Chatsworth, West Hills, and Northridge.
How do I get started?+
Call or text us at 805-428-2002. We'll ask a few questions about your pool, give you a clear quote, and schedule a first visit. There is no long sales process and no pressure.
Are you a high-volume pool company?+
No. Blue Ripple is not a volume-based pool company. The focus is consistency, clear communication, and solving recurring problems.
What does pricing look like?+
Standard weekly service starts at $165 with chemicals not included. Our $208 all-inclusive option includes chemicals plus two quarterly filter cleans. Final pricing still depends on the pool's size, equipment, and current condition, and we give you a clear quote up front.
